Project Management
General Contracting
Superior offers clients flexibility with multiple contract options including lump-sum, cost plus, and guaranteed maximum price. As a general rule, this delivery method places sole responsibility for the project completion with the general contractor who usually holds all subcontractor contracts. Most of our completed projects have used a lump sum contract. The major advantage to the Owner for using this method is knowing how much the project will cost prior to construction via a lump-sum bid.
Design & Build
Although not a fit for every project, Superior has recommended design/build services to clients because of its effectiveness in maximizing both resources and results. In a design/build project, the company works closely with an independent design firm to meet the client’s needs and utilize cost effective methods and materials.
Project Management
When providing construction management services, Superior often takes on the role of contractor, assuming full control of the project from a construction perspective to ensure that client needs are met, and that the instructions of the owner or building team (owner/architect/superior) are carried out. However, Construction Management services are provided for a fee while the costs associated with project construction are assumed by the client.

Project Execution
Scheduling:
Working closely with the client and other construction team members, Superior establishes a project schedule that incorporates all project-related activities and the needs of all project stakeholders. Superior project managers monitor and maintain the schedule to meet or exceed the client’s target completion date. This is done with regular meetings involving our staff and subcontractors so that all resources on the project understand the scheduling needs of the project.
Purchasing & Cost Control:
Controlled purchasing, cost accounting and analysis are just a few of the ways in which Superior ensures the clients get the most for their construction dollar. In addition, value engineering suggestions identify ways to achieve additional cost savings without compromising quality of workmanship. Whether a single lump sum contract or the comprehensive construction management of multiple trades, Superior takes the time to provide value engineering recommendations that save our clients money.
Project Management:
Whether it’s supervising craftsmen from a single trade on a single site or coordinating construction in several locations, Superior has the experience and management skills required. On projects of every scope and size, Superior takes the time and applies the necessary effort to create an effective, productive team. Superior project managers are committed to working closely with clients to determine which services will most effectively meet the client’s needs and expedite the construction process.
Construction Supervision:
Consistent onsite supervision is a role that often doesn’t receive the attention deserved. Superior ensures that our onsite supervisors take an active role in trade coordination, schedule and safety issues. Our supervisors are educated individuals with years of field experience, tradesmen relationships and clear communication skills. We always make sure to keep a site that is clean, efficient, and do our best to keep noise and debris to a minimum as to not disturb surrounding occupied properties.
